Welcome

Welcome to Farnham Common Village Schools

On behalf of the children, staff, parents and governors I would like to welcome you to our schools and hope you find the website useful and informative. We are a federation made up of an Infant and Junior School, both with two classes per year. We are situated in Buckinghamshire in Farnham Common Village, known for Burnham Beeches, which is an area of woodland that is a National Nature Reserve, Site of Special Scientific Interest and a Special Area of Conservation.

I feel very privileged to be a part of this special community. We live by the motto ‘Taking Learning Above and Beyond’ and I truly believe we do. We do not settle and continually push ourselves to do better through high expectations, whilst having fun. We strongly believe in learning outside the classroom, through valuable experiences, that the children will remember in years to come. The Infants is a Forest School, with its own amazing wooded area. I regularly see children in Reception doing things I have only ever seen Year 6 children do before on their week residential. Our Juniors use Burnham Beeches frequently to learn about nature and develop many social skills. They also have their own Duke of Edinburgh style programme tailored for Years 4, 5 and 6. I am very much looking forward to what we can achieve as a federation of schools in the future.

You can only really get the feel for what a school is like by coming for a visit, so book a tour  by contacting the school’s offices, details on the home page. We hope to see you soon, but in the meantime please enjoy our website.
